Hang Around (Happy New Year!!!)

Happy New Year!

I hope your 2019 started off great. Mine certainly did. It started off with my family cheering with plum wine in our mugs. 

2018 left a......... questionable taste in my mouth. I'm not sure how I feel about it. It wasn't negative, but it wasn't really positive either. I don't feel as happy as I used to feel. I feel... a little critical of the world. But I haven't really been trying to make a motivating statement to myself, so I started living in my head again. 

Generally, the celebration of New Years includes writing a list of New Year Resolutions on the Eve, usually consisting of long term and short term goals.

My Resolutions:

1. Apply to internship positions and follow up on them!!
2. Complete the first arc of Yume Connection
3. Raise my GPA to a 3.2
4. Eat less sugar! Cavity prevention!
5. Make new friends, but keep the old
6. Draw a personal picture every single month
7. CPAC can kiss my sweet ass with another successful run
8. Lay down a couple of floor plans for Yume Connection (hand or digital)
9. Write two blog entries every month
10. Gain back some muscle and lose some fatttt
11. Sleep earlier (Before 2 at least!)
12. Be Happy

I always write down "be happy" because to be honest, if I'm not happy, then what's the point?

An optimist stays up until midnight to see the new year arrive.
A pessimist stays up until midnight to see the old year leave.

So why did I stay up until writing this post? Am I a optimist or pessimist?

The answer is NEITHER! I just want to be with my family.

Another thing is in my resolution: You see make new friends but keep the old. Why do I want more friends? Because I want a friend who lives closer to me to go around trendy areas and food hop! I want to be a little more cultured. 

I struggle with lack of confidence and lethargy. I wish to somehow gain it back by being with more open-minded people. I hope to see more things and take an interest in things without getting competitive/ hurting myself. I only hope to grow and become stable while also being more of a social daredevil. 

May the new year be a new journey.
